Summary: By reliving certain events in the biography of St. Francis of Assisi in the contemporary world, Canticle explores the individual's struggle to humble himself through suffering and sacrifice. The film is intended to blur the line between Medieval and Modern religious practice to illustrate the possibilities of achievement through perceived agony.
